摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable joined product obtained by superimposing the planar parts of a plurality of members to be joined in stepped shape and subjecting the superimposed part to friction stir joining, in which a firm joint is realized by solving the problem on the fatigue fracture thereof. SOLUTION: In the friction stir joined product 10 of a stepped superimposed material obtained by superimposing metal plates 12, 14 in stepped shape where the edge parts 12a, 14a thereof are located in both the sides of the superimposed part 16, and subjecting the prescribed parts of the superimposed part 16 to friction stir joining, adhesive layers 20 locating in the length of at least 3 mm or above are interposed between friction stir joining parts 18 and the edge parts 12a, 14a of the metal plates, so as to shield the space between the friction stir joining parts and the edge parts of the metal plates in the superimposed boundary of the superimposed part 16, and further, the superimposed part 16 is joined with the friction stir joining parts by the adhesive layers.
