PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a corrugated plate, by which method and apparatus, a corrugated plate having high corrugations can be accurately manufactured. SOLUTION: The corrugated plate 1 is held between a first formed frame 11 and a second formed frame 12 by bringing them into pressure contact with each other. In this state, the corrugated plate of one pitch is formed on the beltlike thin plate 1a following the corrugated plate 1 by means of a plurality of formed frames 11 to 15 (processes IV to VII). Then, the corrugated plate of one pitch is formed by a plurality of the formed frames. Therefore, the corrugated plate having high corrugations can be accurately manufactured. The first formed frame 11 is provided so as to reciprocate, and advances the corrugated plate and the beltlike thin plate by one pitch in the state that the corrugated plate has been engaged with the projections 11a to 11c of the first formed frame (process IX), and separates from the corrugated plate after advancing them by one pitch (process XI), and then recedes by one pitch (process XII), and engages with the trailing corrugated plate again (process IV).
