The area on the first substrate (1) located within the sealing material (3) is a display area (11). The area of the first substrate (1) outside the sealing material (3) and designed to align with the edge of the second substrate (2) is a first non-display area (12). The side of the first substrate (1) at the first non-display area (12) is outwardly extended beyond the second substrate (2). The side of the first polarizing film (4) at the first non-display area (12) is outwardly extended beyond the second substrate (2). The display panel is capable of solving the problem of a bright line appearing on the outermost edges of a display screen due to light leakage when viewing at an angle nearly parallel to the screen of a display device, thus enhancing display effects.
