An anaesthetiser (100) having an integrated disinfection function, comprising an exhalation apparatus (10), an inhalation apparatus (20), a drive apparatus (40) connected to the exhalation apparatus (10) and the inhalation apparatus (20), and a disinfecting and sterilising apparatus (60) used for producing a disinfecting and sterilising substance and/or a disinfecting and sterilising wave. The exhalation apparatus (10) and the inhalation apparatus (20) respectively form with the drive apparatus (40) an interconnected exhalation channel and inhalation channel. The disinfecting and sterilising apparatus (60) is arranged in the exhalation and/or inhalation channel and forms with the exhalation and/or inhalation channel an air flow loop. The disinfecting and sterilising apparatus (60) is integrated into the anaesthetiser (100), and the sterilising substance and/or disinfecting and sterilising wave flows in the respiratory loop or uses the gas circulation of the device itself, such that each place in the loop is automatically disinfected without the need to disassemble the loop.
