PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining and adjusting a flow rate of a blood transfer pump and a controlling device.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for determining and adjusting a flow rate of a blood transfer pump of a blood processing device. The method comprises: connecting container filled with fluid to an extracorporeal blood line of the blood processing device; executing a priming step in which the blood transfer pump is driven at a predetermined theoretical transfer rate for transferring from the container filled with fluid to the extracorporeal blood line to execute priming of the extracorporeal blood line; determining reduction in fluid from the container filled with fluid due to transfer of fluid to the extracorporeal blood line while execution of priming; and determining an amendment ratio by comparing a value of a volume of the fluid transferred under the theoretical transfer rate with a value of a volume of actually transferred fluid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
