1. A power tool comprising:
a rotatable tool holder adapted to receive a bit; a motor adapted to drive the rotation of the tool holder; a housing containing at least the motor and a handle extending therefrom that is configured to be gripped to manipulate the tool; a power source detachably coupled to the handle and adapted to deliver power to the motor; an actuator adapted to select powered operation of the tool; an input device comprising a ring-shaped dial and a display, the display configured within the ring-shaped dial on a rear face of the housing, the dial being adapted to rotate with respect to the display, the rotation of the dial being configured to input an input parameter; and a control unit configured to store a predetermined value and evaluate whether or not the input parameter matches the predetermined value and to permit powered operation of the tool when the input parameter matches the predetermined value and prohibit powered operation of the tool when the input parameter does not match the predetermined value. |
