Methods and apparatus for producing 15O-carbon monoxide and 15O-carbon dioxide

As the gas to be irradiated, a nitrogen gas comprising carbon monoxide is irradiated with a deuteron beam, and [¹⁵O]CO produced by nuclear reaction is recovered. Since a heating process is not required, [¹⁵O]CO can be easily supplied in a short time. Furthermore, the present invention provides a method for producing [¹⁵O]CO₂ by contacting [¹⁵O]CO with oxidizing catalysts. [¹⁵O]CO₂ can be produced at room temperature by using oxidizing catalysts.
