An air conditioner having a sliding damper is provided to be easily installed and smoothly operated, and to reduce installation and maintenance costs by providing a monolithic sliding damper with simpler construction, and to reduce noise and blower capacity by reducing abrasion resistance against air flow. An air conditioner having a sliding damper comprises a suction space part, a conversion space part(212), an outer air suction part(202), an outer air mixing port(222), a slide damper and a blow space part. The suction space part allows circulating air to be flowed into through a circulating air suction port and a circulating air damper. The conversion space part is communicated with the suction space part by a communicating pipe having a predetermined diameter, and includes an air discharge space part(216) and an outer air mixing space part(214). The outer air suction part is formed between the suction space part and the conversion space part, and forms an outer air suction port(200) in one side of an upper part thereof. The outer air mixing port is formed in both sides of a wall body(220) partitioning the outer air suction part and the conversion space part. The slide damper has one end hinge-coupled to one upper side of the conversion space part so as to be slid and rotated, and the other end slid and rotated up-and-down along one side opening of a communicating pipe so that opening degree amount of the suction space part, the air discharge port(210), the conversion space part and the outer air mixing port are controlled. The blow space part allows air of the conversion space part to be heat-exchanged according to the sliding damper, moved and discharged to an indoor again.
