PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide satisfactory speaker arrangement that utilizes the thinness of a display panel as an image display device with a built-in thin type display panel. SOLUTION: The image display device includes an image display panel 150. The image display device includes: as a casing, a base part 110 mountable on a horizontal surface, a rising part 120 rising from the base part 110 in a state of being inclined frontward at a predetermined angle, and a panel retaining part 130 connected to an upper part of the rising part, retaining the image display panel. Speakers 161 to 164 are disposed on an upper surface of the base part 110 of the casing, and sound AU output from the speakers is reflected by the rising part 120 and is made to emit to a front side.
