PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for suppressing a movement of a glass gob in a forming die due to an inertial force in an intermittent drive of the forming die.SOLUTION: In a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a glass gob g, a glass gob g is formed in a forming die 12 where molten glass has been fed, by cooling the forming die 12 while the forming die is transferred intermittently, and the method includes a process in which the forming die 12 is oscillated around an oscillation axis 14', the oscillation axis 14' being a horizontal axis perpendicular to a transfer direction, to tilt a direction of a forming surface 12a of the forming die 12 relative to the vertical axis Hb at a predetermined angle Θb. |
