ULTRASONIC DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS AND CORRECTION METHOD FOR IMAGE DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus that can eliminate the need of positioning even when a transmitter is moved and can improve diagnostic efficiency, and further to provide a correction method for image data.SOLUTION: A transmitter transmits a reference signal. A position sensor acquires positional information on a three-dimensional space by receiving the reference signal. A control section associates the three-dimensional space with three-dimensional image data on the basis of positioning between any cross section out of the three-dimensional image data generated by a medical image diagnostic apparatus and a cross section scanned by an ultrasonic probe. A detection section detects a position of the transmitter on the three-dimensional space associated therewith varying on the basis of the positional information acquired by the position sensor. A correction section corrects positional deviation between a cross section of a medical image and the cross section scanned by the ultrasonic probe on the basis of an amount of variation of the position of the transmitter.
