The present invention relates to a motor driving apparatus and a laundry treatment machine including the same. According to the present invention, the motor driving apparatus comprises: an inverter which converts DC power into AC power to outputs the AC power to a motor; an output current detector which detects an output current flowing through the motor; a filter which filters the detected output current; and an inverter controller which controls the inverter. The inverter controller outputs an inverter switching control signal based on a high frequency injection to the inverter, estimates a location of a rotor of the motor based on the filtered output current and a delay compensation value for compensating for a filtering delay in the filter, and outputs the inverter switching control signal based on the estimated location. Therefore, it is possible to compensate for a delay error caused by the filter when estimating the location through the high frequency injection in a sensorless method.
