PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means that allows a knife and a sample to be quickly and simply changed in a freeze-fracture device.SOLUTION: A freeze-fracture machine has a vacuum chamber 110, and in the vacuum chamber, a sample receptor 160 and a knife receptor 150 for receiving a knife 155 processing the sample are arranged. In the vacuum chamber 110, a lock is provided. Via the lock, the sample and the knife 155 can be introduced in the vacuum chamber, and a positioning device 135 allows the sample and the knife to be positioned in the vacuum chamber. The sample and the sample receptor are mutually positionable so that the sample is attachable to the sample receptor 160 by the positioning device, and the knife and the knife receptor are mutually positionable so that the knife is attachable to the knife receptor by the positioning device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
