PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deploy and expand an airbag so as to be a form which has small expansion thickness in a fore-and-aft direction and a vertical direction, and large expansion thickness in a width direction of a vehicle seat.SOLUTION: In an airbag 40, a sheet-shaped lateral expansion thickness adjusting portion 61 extending in a fore-and-aft direction, and a sheet-shaped vertical expansion thickness adjusting portion 64 extending in a vertical direction are disposed respectively. The lateral expansion thickness adjusting portion 61 and the vertical expansion thickness adjusting portion 64 are coupled to the airbag 40 at respective both end portions. The lateral expansion thickness adjusting portion 61 is brought to be in a tension state with the expansion of the airbag 40 to regulate the expansion thickness in the fore-and-aft direction of the airbag 40, thereby largely expanding the airbag 40 in a vehicle width direction. The vertical expansion thickness adjusting portion 64 is brought to be in a tension state with the expansion of the airbag 40 to regulates the expansion thickness in the vertical direction of the airbag 40, thereby largely expanding the airbag 40 in the vehicle width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
