PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain rough values of pore parameters such as an average pore radius, a pore number density, a specific surface area, by measuring the transmittance of a transparent porous body.SOLUTION: A pore parameter calculation method of a transparent porous body inputs the parallel flat plate thickness and porosity of a transparent porous body processed into a parallel flat plate shape; inputs the transmittance spectrum of a transparent porous body measured by performing wavelength sweep in a visible range; plots a value calculated by dividing the logarithm of the transmittance spectrum by the parallel flat plate thickness of the transparent porous body, with respect to a wavelength to the inverse four power calculated by dividing the wavelength by the refractive index of the skeleton member of the transparent porous body; performs linear regression analysis; calculates an inclination parameter and a vertical axis piece; calculates refractive indices in air and in a porous body interface from the vertical axis piece; calculates the effective refractive index of the transparent porous body from the refractive index in the porous body interface; and calculates the average pore radius and pore number density of the transparent porous body from the inclination parameter. |
