PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decide a suitable metal mold independent on a skill of an operator thereby reducing a man-hour of a work.SOLUTION: A method for decision of a metal mold for manufacturing a curved-surface plate by successively press a plate having a processing area larger than an area contacting with an upper die while moving the plate on a lower die. According to the method, test metal molds, each having a molding surface with a curvature radius smaller than that of a target shape of the curved-surface plate, are provided in plural kinds thereof in which curvature radii are changed, test pressing of the plate by the test metal mold is performed in each of plural kinds of test metal molds, an approximate curve, which indicates a relationship between a curvature radius of the molding surface and a curvature radius after pressing, is determined from plural corresponding data between curvature radii of respective plates after pressing which are obtained by the test pressing, a curvature radius of the molding surface corresponding to a curvature radius after pressing which is substantially coincident with a curvature radius of the target shape of the curved-surface plate is determined by use of the approximate curve, and an actual molding surface of the metal mold is decided by use of the determined curvature radius.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
