PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance-free carrier for restricting dew condensation or frosting enabling a high efficient and stable cooling at a heat exchanging surface when wet air is cooled through the heat exchanging surface or when heat is absorbed from wet air of lower than an icing point.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a carrier C having a higher coefficient of thermal conductivity than that of wet air. A thickness between opposing surfaces of the carrier is set in such a way that a carrier surface opposite against a surface opposing against a cooling heat exchanging surface can be positioned within a temperature interface layer BL, by surface opposite arrangement against a cooling heat exchanging surface S in contact with the wet air. The wet air is dehumidified by condensing or sublimating water vapor in the wet air at the carrier surface to restrict dew formation or frosting on the cooling heat exchanging surface under a state in which the carrier surface opposite against the surface opposing against the cooling heat exchanging surface is arranged within the temperature interface layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
