A navigation method for displaying around information is provided to display around information or ad information by allocating a part of a map display screen when an around information display is requested. When an around information display is selected by a user in the course of driving of a vehicle, around information and ad information are displayed on a part of a map display screen(S101-S105). Facility symbols are selected while stopping the vehicle and then the name of a corresponding facility is displayed(S107,S109). When a detail information menu of the displayed name is selected, corresponding detail information is displayed on a screen(S111,S113).
