PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an area forming method of an optical disk by which reliable recording/reproducing can be performed with the same condition over a whole disk area, and a method for recording/reproducing information in an optical disk. SOLUTION: The area forming method of the optical disk including the data area in which user data can be recorded/reproduced between a read-in area, a read-out area, a read-in area and a read-out area comprises a step of forming the read-in area, a step for forming a reproduction only area 10 in which a first wobble of a high frequency is formed, a step for forming recordable/reproducible area 30 in which second wobble having a lower frequency relatively than the first wobble and having a form being different from the first wobble, and a step for generating a connection area 20 arranged between the reproduction only area and the recording/reproducing area.
