PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus which realizes extended control for satisfying user's peculiar tastes and convenience while reducing a maker's burden. SOLUTION: When an extended attribute section is to be specified in batch mode for a reproduction path set for a TS-VOB (transport stream video object), a section marker is generated in the VOB information to specify the position of the extended attribute section for the TS-VOB. When a section to be subjected to extended control is to be specified individually for one reproduction path, a section marker specifying the position of the extended attribute section is generated in the PGC information for the reproduction path. The VOB information and the PGC information generated are written onto a DVD. What is the section to be subjected to extend control and is specified using section marker within Program Chain information, is a section on differential salvage passway non-listened on the specified reproduction path.
