PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug-in unit capable of adjusting the quantity of incoming and outgoing cooling air when the plug-in unit is mounted on electronic equipment and the electronic equipment capable of properly changing the distribution of the air quantity in a device even if the unit is replaced with a plug-in unit having different calorific value and draft resistance. SOLUTION: The plug-in unit 3 is housed in the box body of the electronic equipment 1 with a cooling fan 2 for use. In the plug-in unit 3, air quantity adjusting metal fittings 4 with openings having variable numerical apertures are fitted to at least one of sections serving as inlets or outlets for cooling air generated by the cooling fan 2 when the plug-in unit 3 is housed in the box body of the electronic equipment 1.
