摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system which can reduce a residue of production water in a fuel cell, thereby improving power generation stability or suppressing deterioration of the fuel cell and reducing consumption power.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system comprises: unstable condition gasp means 51 for detecting an unstable condition of a fuel cell 1 on the basis of a cell voltage during an operation of the fuel cell 1; cathode gas circulation process means 52 for circulating cathode gas during a stop of the fuel cell 1, thereby performing oxygen deficiency electric power generation of continuing power generation using oxygen remaining in a cathode to reduce an oxygen density; scavenging-air necessity determination means 53 for determining that a scavenging-air process is necessary when it is determined by the unstable condition grasp means 51 that the fuel cell 1 is unstable. When it is determined by the scavenging-air necessity determination means 53 that the scavenging-air process is necessary, the scavenging-air process is performed when the fuel cell 1 is stopped, and when it is determined by the scavenging-air necessity determination means 53 that the scavenging-air process is unnecessary, the oxygen deficiency power generation is performed by the cathode gas circulation process means 52 when the fuel cell 1 is stopped, resulting in a stop of the system.
