A housing is provided for holding a flat screen, having a frame (1) which defines a housing interior (8) for holding the flat screen. The frame (1) is produced from a flat profile element which has multiple set bending points (13) which serve to establish the corner regions (19) of the frame (1). On its inside, the frame (1) has an inner channel (18) into which a heat-dissipating element (7) is inserted in such a way that it serves to transmit heat from the housing interior (8) to the frame (1).
