PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a user's burden.SOLUTION: A printer 30 communicates with a mobile phone 60 held by a user and acquires distance information about the distance between the mobile phone and the image recording apparatus. If the distance is shorter than a set distance according to the acquired distance information, and provided that at least one part of the printer is in a state which it is not used for executing printing processing, the printer transmits information representing that printing processing can be executed to the mobile phone held by the user. In other words, when a user holding a mobile phone comes close to the printer to a certain extent, if the printer is not used by another user, the information representing that printing processing can be executed is transmitted to the mobile phone. Thus, the user is made to recognize that printing processing can be executed and is enabled to come to the printer only when he or she has recognized that, resulting in reduction of the user's burden.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
