The sensor arrangement contains several field elements (1) with at least two electrodes (5,6) on a substrate of insulating or semiconducting material. At least three field elements with electrodes are mounted on the substrate. There are at least two different basic electrode shapes. The field elements can be arranged on the substrate in rows and columns with the electrode shape varying from row to row. In individual rows, each electrode shape can vary in size to form an array whose field elements have electrode shapes of the same and different types. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for monitoring material compositions and concn.. Enables measurement of active influences on chemical and biological processes as well as measurement of passive parameters such as resistance, potential and capacitance.
