摘要

The present invention relates to poly(4-hydroxybutyrate)-b-monomethoxy(polyethylene glycol) copolymer nanoparticles, a production method thereof and a pharmaceutical composition for treating brain disorders containing the same as an active ingredient. The P(4HB)-b-mPEG nanoparticles according to the present invention are slowly broken down in brain cells to release gamma-hydroxybutyric acid (GHB), and thereby, allowing sustainedly release of a therapeutic level of the concentration of GHB, which is used as an agent for treating brain disorders such as epilepsy and the like. Additionally, since the nanoparticles are in a form of a hydrophobic polymer, and they can not be easily used as a hallucinogenic agent or a narcotic agent due to their hydrophobic property of not dissolving in water or alcohol. Thereby, the nanoparticles can be more safely used than existing GHB, and therefore, can be advantageously used by replacing the existing GHB therapeutic agents.
