PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging container in which a protrusion piece is protruded automatically outward without using a user's hand. SOLUTION: A container 10 for packaging an item to be packaged such as a wrap film and the like is comprised of a first wall member 26a in which the front wall 26 of a main body 16 of the container has one longitudinal edge cooperatively arranged at a bottom wall 28 of the main body of the container, and a second wall member 26b cooperatively arranged at the other longitudinal edge of the first wall member, bent and adhered to the rear surface of the first wall member, wherein a substantial U-shaped slit line 32 defining a part 34' acting as a protrusion piece 34 is formed at the first wall member, both ends of the slit line is extended up to a folding line 27 between the first wall member and the second wall member. With such an arrangement as above, since the first wall member and the second wall member are apt to return their parallel state to each other, the part of the protrusion piece is automatically protruded out.
