<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To place a power management apparatus for managing/operation controlling power consumption on a network so that peaks do not overlap, to manage each MFP notifying the management apparatus of current power consumption, and to delay a wakeup start. <P>SOLUTION: With respect to each operation such as warmup operation for preparing for printing and print operation for printing, a printer stores power consumption necessary for performing the operation and a power management server manages power to be consumed by the printer on the network. The printer transmits a control signal of a power use application to the server before performing each operation, while the server transmits a control signal of power use permission when the total power consumption does not exceed a preset limiting value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
