The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing metal nanoparticles and a method for manufacturing a metal nanoparticle ink using the same. The method for manufacturing the metal nanoparticles for a metal ink comprises the steps of: dissolving a metal precursor having a substituent at an alpha location position in an organic solvent; applying an energy source or a mechanical force to manufacture metal nanoparticle of which the average particle size can be adjusted according to synthesis conditions, wherein the manufactured metal nanoparticles are dispersed, thereby improving the dispersion stability and electrical properties of the manufactured metal nanoparticle ink.
