An indicating method for group handover is disclosed in the embodiments of the present invention, wherein the method includes the following steps: a mobile station MS receives the handover indication from a base station; after confirming to perform the group handover according to the said handover indication, the said MS transmits an acknowledgement message to the said BS in response to the said handover indication. By the embodiments of the present invention, the BS indicates the MS to perform the group handover by the handover indication, so that a mechanism that a MS can switch between the different groups that a BS is serving is providedto support a MS to perform handover between the different groups that a BS is serving.
