<p>The invention relates to phenyl pyrrole aminoguanidines modified at the guanidine group of the general formula (I), including tautomeric and isomeric forms thereof, wherein, X is (II) and i is 0,1or 2, Y is (III) and j is 0 or 1; wherein Q is nitrogen (N) or carbon (C), and ? represents, together with Q and the carbon atom covalently linked to Q, an optionally substituted five-or six-membered heterocyclyl or cycloalkyl group; and Z is (IV) and k is 0,1,2 or 3. The invention further relates to the use of such modified phenyl pyrrole aminoguanidines for the treatment of diseases associated with the melanocortin receptors or related systems, e.g. the melanocyte stimulating hormones. Such diseases include inflammatory diseases, metabolic syndrome, insulin-resistance, diabetes mellitus, and obesity.</p> |
