PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor controller capable of accurately managing to protect each of AC motors from temperature rise on wiring based on total power losses while visualizing various values on the AC motor.SOLUTION: The motor controller controls the supply of drive electric power for AC motors. The motor controller has a control unit that detects a total power loss on an AC motor as a difference between an input electric power and an output electric power. The motor controller calculates the calorie on the wiring of the AC motor on the basis of the calorie on the AC motor, which is obtained by cumulative calculation of the values which are calculated by adding and subtracting a predetermined weight to the total power losses at every predetermined time. When the wiring calorie reaches a first threshold level, the motor controller stops supplying the drive electric power. The motor controller is mounted on an overload protection relay.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
