PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage system capable of suppressing reduction in lifetime and charge and discharge characteristics of an accumulator battery.SOLUTION: A power storage system comprises: a plurality of juxtaposed power storage units 12; a plurality of charge and discharge circuits 11 that individually charge and discharge the plurality of power storage units 12; and a system controller 2 that controls the plurality of charge and discharge circuits 11. The system controller 2 controls the charge and discharge circuits 11 so that the power storage units 12 adjacent vertically/laterally/back and forth are not simultaneously charged or discharged.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
