PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent electric discharge due to a contact failure between power feeding terminals of a charging base and power incoming terminals of a cleaner.SOLUTION: A vacuum cleaner device includes: a self-propelled vacuum cleaner having a battery, a housing where power incoming terminals for charging the battery are arranged in a bottom board opposing to a floor surface, a travel part for allowing the housing to travel on the floor surface, and a control section for receiving the output of the battery and driving the travel part; and a charging unit having a placement base for placing the vacuum cleaner and power feeding terminals arranged in the placement base and feeding power to the battery by being brought into mechanical contact with and electrically connected to the power incoming terminals of the placed vacuum cleaner, and then charging the battery. Ones of the power incoming terminals and the power feeding terminals are made of flat terminals. The device includes a mechanism for preventing the end edges of the flat terminals from being touched by the other terminals.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12 |
