摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical plasma actuator which is capable of increasing a velocity of an induction air current without increasing power consumption and can be effectively utilized for various purposes.SOLUTION: In a plasma actuator 1, a front-side electrode 20 is provided on a front face of a plate-like insulation material 10 and at one end side 12 of the insulation material 10, and a plate-like rear-side electrode 30 is provided on a rear face of the insulation material 10 and at another end side 11 of the insulation material 10. Plasma is generated from the front-side electrode 20 by applying a pulse voltage between both the electrodes, and an induction air current is generated. In the plasma actuator 1, a plasma generation part 25 is provided in the front-side electrode 20 other than one side edge portion in such a manner that a surface area of a portion 25 generating plasma p1 and p2 becomes larger than an area of the one side edge portion 21 of the front-side electrode 20. The front-side electrode 20 generates plasma between the front-side electrode 20 and the rear-side electrode 30, and at an upstream side of the induction air current generated by plasma, an electric field for charging the gas in the air current from the periphery of the front-side electrode 20 is generated.
