Press fitting and its use

The press fitting (30) has a tubular component (32), where an end section (33) of the tubular component is compressed for producing a connection and has an opening (34) for receiving a tube. The end section has an area (36) for receiving a sealing ring (40), another area (42) on a side of a beading (38) facing the opening and a third area (44) on a side of the beading turned away from the opening. The total wall thickness of the tubular component in the latter area in comparison to the wall thickness of the tubular component in the third area is sectionally increased.
