PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a size of an outline and a weight as the whole contact angle measuring instrument, and attain simplification and cost reduction to enhance cost performance. SOLUTION: A photographing part 3 photographs a drop 2 on a plane dropped on an upper face of a plate 1 from a side face, a data processing part 4 converts an image signal output from the photographing part 3 into a digital image data, an image storage part 5 stores the digital image data a frame unit by a frame unit, an image receiving part 6 reads out the digital image data from the image storage part 5 to be transferred, and a processing part 7 receives the digital image data from the image receiving part 6 to compute a contact angle between the plate 1 and the drop 2 on the plane.
