A transmission cylinder (2) is positively connected (6,8) with, and cooperates with, an axially movable form cylinder (1). The two cylinders are driven by a shared motor (3) by means of at least partial spur toothing (10). The driven movement is from the drive motor via the spur toothing to the form cylinder, and from the form cylinder via the drive connection ,in the form of a train of wheels, to the transmission cylinder. The inker unit (13) for the form cylinder has a drive mechanism (12,16,17) with the drive motor.
