<p>Compounds represented by the following general formula (I): (I) wherein each symbol is as defined in the description; salts thereof, solvates thereof or prodrugs thereof bind to DP receptors and antagonize the same. Therefore, they are useful in preventing and/or treating allergic diseases (allergic nephritis, allergic conjunctivitis, atopic dermatitis, bronchial asthma, food allergy, etc.), systemic mast cell disease, systemic mast cell activation disorder, anaphylactic shock, airway contraction, urticaria, eczema, diseases with itching (atopic dermatitis, urticaria, etc.), secondary diseases (cataract, retinal separation, inflammation, infection, sleep disturbance, etc.) caused by behaviors associating itching (scratching, beating, etc.), inflammation, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, ischemic reperfusion injury, cerebrovascular disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, pleuritis, ulcerative colitis and so on. Because of binding specifically to DP receptors but only weakly binding to other prostaglandin receptors, the above compounds enable the production of drugs having little side effects.</p> |
