<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory card capable of attaining a high writing speed. <P>SOLUTION: The memory card comprises a first memory 3 having a plurality of first areas and a plurality of second areas comprising a plurality of writing unit areas. An arithmetic part 8 issues an instruction for writing writing data with an address assigned by host equipment to the first memory. A second memory cp uses an address continued to the address of previously written data as an expectation value, and stores an address that is not the expectation value in writing request. A first counter ctcp counts the frequency of writing requests of writing data with addresses that are not the expectation value for every address. A third memory ep stores an address that the value in the first counter reaches a first set value.
