摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly switch a fuel injection mode by considering a variation in a stable combustion area in response to a variation in the air-fuel ratio. SOLUTION: This fuel injection control device of a direct injection type internal combustion engine ignites fuel by a spark plug by directly injecting the fuel in a cylinder, and is constituted to perform a compression stroke injection mode of injecting the fuel in a compression stroke of the internal combustion engine when a predetermined operation condition is realized, and switches a first fuel injection mode of expanding a combustion stable area as the air-fuel ratio becomes lean and a second fuel injection mode of expanding the combustion stable area as the air-fuel ratio becomes rich in response to an input state of an external load in the internal combustion engine in the compression stroke injection mode.
