PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for dyeing keratinous fibers manifesting a large tolerance to various challenging factors that hairs sustain, strongly dyeing with a small selection of colors. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the dyeing composition for keratinous fibers, in particular human keratinous fibers such as hair, comprising in an appropriate dyeing medium, at least a direct cationic coloring agent of specific formula, and characterized in that it further contains at least a quaternary ammonium salt.
