PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for producing biuret and cyanuric acid. SOLUTION: This method and device for producing the biuret having high purity is provided by precipitating crystals by cooling a product formed by a thermal decomposition reaction, and then dissolving the precipitated crystals with an aqueous alkali solution and then cooling. Also, the method and device for recovering cyanuric acid which is a byproduct of the thermal decomposition reaction, in high purity effectively is provided. Therefore, by dissolving the crude biuret crystal formed by the thermal decomposition reaction of urea, with the aqueous alkali solution, it is possible to produce high purity biuret and cyanuric acid by a simple and low cost method.
