Disclosed are a computing method for the area of a fingerprint overlapping area and an electronic apparatus. The computing method comprises the following steps: collecting a fingerprint to be matched (S11) and obtaining an image of the fingerprint to be matched; finding out multiple pairs of matched feature points in the image of the fingerprint to be matched and a pre-set template fingerprint image (S12); obtaining an image offset of the image of the fingerprint to be matched according to the multiple pairs of matched feature points; utilizing the image offset to adjust the position of the image of the fingerprint to be matched and obtain an overlapping area of the image of the fingerprint to be matched and the pre-set template fingerprint image; and counting the number of image pixel points in the overlapping area to obtain the area of the overlapping area. By means of the computing method, the area of an overlapping area is computed by decomposing the overlapping area into pixel points and counting the number of pixel points in the overlapping area, thereby making the computed area more accurate, facilitating later computation, making fingerprint matching more accurate, and improving the user experience. |
