PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation and control method at a gear-change stage for a vehicle equipped with a manual or automatic/manual transmission 16.SOLUTION: The operation and control method includes: a step of preparing a vehicle that has a manual or automatic/manual transmission 16 which has a heat absorbing engine 8 with a corresponding crank shaft 26, a clutch 24, a primary shaft 28 operably connected to the clutch 24 and a secondary shaft 32 operably connected to driving wheels 36 of the vehicle; a step of preparing an electric machine 44 that is operably connected to the primary shaft 28 by transmission means 48 and mechanically separated from the engine 8; and a step of supplying torque to the secondary shaft 32 through the primary shaft 28 and actuating the electric machine 44 during gear change so as to resist against decrease in speed in an advancing of the vehicle during the gear change.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
