PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a seismic isolated floor to benefit from a seismic isolator in an intermediate-story seismic isolated building.SOLUTION: Movable bearing means 5,...are disposed on a floor part (fix floor) 3 of a seismic isolated floor A. A movable floor 4 is laid on the movable bearing means 5,... so that the movable floor can horizontally move. A vertical member (column or wall) 7 is erected on the movable floor 4. The vertical member 7 and a ceiling part 6 are engaged by an engaging means 8. The engaging means 8 allows the vertical member 7 to move in substantially vertical direction relative to the ceiling part 6 and restricts relative movement in substantially horizontal direction. Therefore seismic isolating effect of a seismic isolator 2 is exerted also on the movable floor 4 through the ceiling part 6 and the vertical member 7, enabling the seismic isolated floor A to benefit from the seismic isolator 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
