1. A method of packaging a camera product that includes a camera, comprising:
providing a base assembly that includes a base and a base fastener structure; attaching to the base assembly a holding element that physically holds the camera and includes a holding element fastener structure, the holding element fastener structure being configured to mate with the base fastener structure, wherein the base fastener structure and the holding element fastener structure, when mated, are configured to provide a first degree of freedom of motion for the holding element relative to the base and a second degree of freedom of motion for the holding element relative to the base; rotating the holding element in a first direction via the first degree of freedom until the holding element reaches a first nominal position, wherein at the first nominal position, the holding element is configured to extend in a direction substantially parallel to the base; rotating the holding element in a second direction via the second degree of freedom until the holding element reaches a second nominal position, wherein at the second nominal position, the camera faces away from the base; and after attaching the holding element to the base assembly and rotating the holding element in the first direction and the second direction, providing the base assembly and the holding element to a package physically configured to receive the camera product with the camera facing upward in the package. |
