A method for separating a material using discontinuous flux control of a four-zone smb(simulated moving bed) chromatography is provided to separate the material of high purity to high yield from a mixture. A method for separating a material using discontinuous flux control of a four-zone smb(simulated moving bed) chromatography comprises the following steps of: gaining residue materials of high purity by controlling speed of a residue outlet port; gaining extract of high purity by controlling the flow of an extract outlet port; and gaining the extract of high purity by controlling the flow of the extract outlet port after adding each flow value predetermined and transferring a separated material to a 4 region from a 3 region.
