GAS-LIQUID SEPARATION DEVICE

The purpose is to obtain a high-performance, easy-to-handle gas-liquid separation device with which it is possible to perform advanced gas-liquid separating actions such as defoaming and deaeration, and that is provided with a structure permitting stationary cleaning and disassembled cleaning meeting sanitary specifications to be carried out. The device separates gases and liquids through centrifugal force of an impeller attached to a shaft which is supported by a bearing and rotates within a casing, wherein the principal characteristics of the device are that the axial distal end part of the impeller at the side farther away from the bearing is formed so as to slide against the inner wall of the casing; a vent opening is provided in a region of the casing corresponding to this sliding end part of the impeller, the vent opening communicating with a vacuum device; a discharge vane part for imparting discharge force to a passing fluid is formed near the end part of the impeller; a fluid discharge opening is provided in a region of the casing corresponding to this discharge vane part; and a fluid intake opening is provided in a region of the casing closer to the bearing than the fluid discharge opening.
