PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide azeotrope-like compositions, methods and systems using materials having low environmental impact, as measured by ultra-low global warming potential and near-zero ozone depletion potential.SOLUTION: Azeotrope-like compositions comprise cis-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene (Z-HFO-1336mzzm) represented by the structural formula in the figure, and another material selected from among water, fluoroketones, alcohols, hydrochlorofluoroolefins, and combinations of two or more thereof. Preferably, the azeotrope-like compositions comprise less than 75-100 wt.% of Z-HFO-1336mzzm, and 0-25 wt.% of effective amounts of alcohols.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
